ÚLUV – A Never Ending Story

Dietrichstein Palace, Zelný trh 8, Brno
28. 11. 2025 – 14. 6. 2026

This year marks 80 years since the founding of the organization called the Centre for Folk Art Production (ÚLUV). Products by artists working under this brand were sold in the Krásná jizba store. The Ethnographic Institute of the MM was the only ethnographic museum in the Czech lands that could systematically monitor the development of folk art production and at the same time document its structural changes, by purchasing award-winning products from various competitions and from the regular offer. Due to the closure of ÚLUV, a unique collection documenting the state of period artistic production inspired by tradition was gathered in Brno. It will be presented to the public in an exhibition entitled ÚLUV – A Never Ending Story.

The exhibition is held under the auspices of Jan Grolich, Governor of the South Moravian Region.
The exhibition is held with the financial support of the City of Brno.

The exhibition and critical catalogue were created with institutional support for the long-term conceptual development of the Moravian Museum research organization provided by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic (DKRVO, MK000094862).
