Acta Musei Moraviae - Scientiae Geologicae

Professional reviewed magazine - geological sciences
Editor: Moravian Museum, Brno
ISSN 1211-8796

The journal AMM, Sci. geol. follows the specialized magazine published by the museum since the end of the 19th century (Acta Musei Franciscae). The current journal was founded in 1901 (with the title Časopis Moravského muzea zemského), since 1949 there was a special natural history series (Scientiae naturalis). Acta Musei Moraviae appear 3×, as the case may be 6× a year.

The specialized series -
Scientiae geologicae (with its own ISSN) was singled out in 1997 (volume 82). It brings original articles from all geological disciplines (mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry, structural and economic geology, geophysics, palaeontology and in a limited extent spelaeology and geomophology) dealing with geological units appearing on the territory of the Czech Republic, especially in Moravia and Silesia. Since 2008 the periodical appears 2× a year in one single volume. The articles are in Czech, Slovak, English, German and French, always with an English abstract. Manuscripts are reviewed by independent external specialists.

Any author who is concerned about the suitability of the subject of their paper should contact the Editor for advice. Manuscripts are reviewed by external referees.
