The Study of Human Variation
| ABSTRACT: |
This paper further develops an approach to the study of human biological variation which eliminates the race concept while preserving classificatory process. It is based on the assumption that infraspecific classification of the species Homo sapiens is possible only if it is made as a matter of convenience and defined by the aims of a particular study.
| KEY WORDS: |
Homo sapiens – "Race" – Infraspecific classification – Artificial classification
